Full Moon. Went 3-6 last night just north of town. Started in 165 FOW and trolled out to 225 before heading back west. Picked up a laker on a wire diver in 133 FOW. Got a small king on a downrigger 65 feet down in 89 FOW and picked up a solid rainbow on the wire diver in 98 FOW or so. Waning Crescent. Up north salmon run 2023. In the beginning, I would drive to Bayfield County in the last week of September. Chest waders and longjohns were required gear. King salmon were the target, but coho were also favored. This year, it is 10/13 and it is too warm (55 degrees) for cold rain and salmon runs up the streams.
